First Date = Embarrassing Moment

If you have ever experienced an embarrassing moment , then you will be able to relate to this. So while I was at lunch the other day, sitting with my friends. We were all talking about going to the amusement parks and remembering funny moments we all have had. So my friend Ruth told us that she had a first date at six flags magic mountain. She wanted to impress this new man that she met, so she dressed herself very nicely. She also added a beautiful cascade of hair on top of her head. She had on false eyelashes. Also a lovely push up bra. She thought she was hot and impressive. So they were having such a lovely time when they went on this water ride. The ride they were on began to descend downward very fast. She was holding on for dear life. When they got down to the bottom she felt something was not right. Sure enough her new date looked at her with amazement. Proceeded to ask, What happen to your hair? With eyes wide open, she reached up and realized the beautiful cascade of hair was missing. Then from behind a man yelled and holding up in his hand was her hair. So she grabbed it and said oh thank you. Now her date was still looking at her funny. She said oh my God and he said your eyelashes are all out of place. He said to her. Are there any more surprises I should know about. She was so embarrassed, that she didn’t even want to mention the new push up bra. Needless to say they ended up getting married and spending many years together. She never again wore anything false to this day. Just one moment of laughter shared among us girls.

 

 

D-DAY TODAY

Well its going to be another adventure today, IT’S D-DAY. Some people would not know what that means but to my girls its means alot. You both know what I’m talking about. Soooo let the adventure today begin.

I woke up this morning with a smile on my face because in a few hours, I will be with my girls who bring so much to my life. Well I will probably be fighting with one of them over the new joy in our lives. Who would of thought that such a tiny being could melt all of our hearts so quickly. Oh but it happened. I call DIBBS first! LOL  It truly will be a sunny day even if it does rain.

Mom, Daughter’s, Sister’s

There is nothing like a mom being with her DAUGHTER’S. There are endless conversations, laughter, and moments that you will never have again. Each time that we begin our get togethers, its an adventure with a journey to remember for a life time.

Now I know you know what I’m talking about. For example: My Daughter Alina took her sister and myself (Mom) on a special adventure. You see Miss Alina has purchased home improvments for her house some three years ago and went on a mission to return all these products. So she has involved her sister and mom to help with this simple task. Needless to say that Miss Alina is five months pregnant so she really needs our help. So off we go first with a vanity cabinet to Lowels. Sure enough a large credit was given. Home Depot, Target, Walmart, Home depot again and last Bed, Bath and Beyond. Now she has credit at all these establishments. I say lets go shopping and we did.

You may say oh that must have been alot of work and hassle returning all those things but let me tell you that it was a great experience to see what stores would take back the stuff without receipts. NO PROBLEM!!!

Let me say our adventure and time together means so much to me. The things we share and laugh about will be memories for a life time. Just so you know girls I wouldn’t trade those times together for anything. I love you girls so much here’s to many more adventures. Remember its not the end that matters its the journey along the way.

SO THIS IS FOR MY VERY SMART GIRLS WHO FILL MY LIFE WITH LAUGHTER EACH AND EVERY DAY WITH THEIR BLOGS!!!!!

WHAT IS THAT THING YOU CANNOT HOLD FOR FIVE MINUTES, YET IT IS AS LIGHT AS A FEATHER?

GET ON YOUR MARK, GET SET, GO, GO, GO…….

MP3 – WITHDRAWS

SO YOUR PROBABLY THINKING MP3-WITHDRAWS WHAT’S THAT? ANYONE WHO IS CLOSE TO ME KNOWS THAT MY MP3 IS IN MY EAR, PLAYING ON MY SPEAKERS, PLAYING IN MY CAR AT ALL TIMES. NOTHING IS GOOD WITHOUT THE MUSIC. YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN? IT KEEPS ME RELAXED, IT MOTIVATES ME AND I JUST LOVE IT SO MUCH! SO I WAS DOWNLOADING SOME MUSIC AND LEFT THE MP3 PLUGGED INTO MY COMPUTER ALL NIGHT. NEXT MORNING, THE THING DOES NOT WORK. I MEAN I HAD TO START MY DAY WITHOUT IT. I WAS COMPLETELY BESIDE MYSELF. MAD, SAD, DISAPPOINTED, AND CONFUSED ALL AT ONCE. NO MUSIC TO LISTEN TO ALL DAY AND FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS I WENT THROUGH WITHDRAWS. WENT TO BEST BUY AND THEY TOLD ME THEY ONLY LAST ABOUT ONE AND HALF YEARS OR SO. WHAT, I ALREADY HAD MINE FOR TWO AND HALF, COULDN’T BELIEVE IT. HOURS OF DOWN LOADING AND INPUTTING SONGS FROM CD’S GONE TO WASTE. SO I DECIDED TO PURCHASE A NEW ONE AND START OVER. AT THE SAME TIME MY CD PLAYER IN MY CAR DOES NOT WORK BECAUSE OF A SAND STORM WE HAD AND I LEFT MY WINDOW DOWN ALITTLE AND SAND BLEW INSIDE IT. I DECIDED TO CHECK OUT HOW MUCH A NEW RADIO WOULD COST. I WAS EXPLAINING TO THE GUY WHO WAS HELPING ME ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TO NOT ONLY THE CAR RADIO BUT MY MP3. HE WAS AMAZED THAT IT WOULDN’T WORK. HE WANTED  TO LOOK AT MY MP3. HE TOLD ME USUALLY THEY HAVE A RESET BUTTON ON THEM. SURE ENOUGH, ON THE BACK WAS THE SMALLEST LITTLE HOLE. I COULD NOT EVEN SEE IT. HE PRESSED IT FOR SIX SECONDS AND TO MY SURPRISE IT TURNED ON. I JUMPED INTO HIS ARMS AND TOLD HIM I LOVE YOU AND THAT YOU JUST MADE MY DAY. WALKED OUT WITH A BIG SMILE ON MY FACE, MP3 IN HAND WITH THE EARPHONE IN MY EAR. MUSIC A NATURAL HIGH!!!!!! I LOVE MY MP3……..COULDN’T LAST A DAY WITHOUT IT!

WANTED……CAPTURED!!!!!!

JUST WHEN YOU THINK YOUR DAY IS GOING SO WELL AND SMOOTHLY, IT CAN TURN AROUND AND BITE YOU RIGHT IN THE BUTT WHEN YOUR NOT LOOKING. THAT’S WHAT HAPPENED TO ME JUST THE OTHER DAY. THE LAST 30 MINUTES OF MY DAY TURNED INTO A UNBELIEVABLE NIGHTMARE. I GUESS THE FOOD DIRECTOR PASSED BY MY SECTION AND SAW THAT I WAS STANDING AND TALKING FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES. HE ASKED THE BUFFET MANAGER WHAT MY JOB WAS. AS FAR AS HE COULD SEE I WASN’T WORKING. SO I TOLD HER THAT I WAS TELLING THE GIRL WHAT TO MAKE FOR THE NIGHT SHIFT GIRLS BECAUSE THEY ARE  UNCAPABLE OF COMMUNICATING WHAT THEY NEED. I ALSO TOLD HER SHE CAN TELL THE FOOD DIRECTOR THAT I CHOPPED 200 POUNDS OF ONIONS, 100 POUNDS OF POTATOES, 4 CASES OF SQUASH, AND I CUT LEMONS FOR THE NEXT DAYS PREP. NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS EXTREMELY UPSET REGARDING THE FACT THAT I’M THE ONE WHO IS ALWAYS DOING SOMETHING TO KEEP BUSY. THE FACT IS THAT ALL THE CHOPPING IS FOR THE MAIN KITCHEN AND ITS NOT EVEN MY JOB TO DO IT. I DO IT TO HELP THEM OUT. SO I PICKED UP MY KNIFE, PUT IT AWAY, GOT MY THINGS AND WENT UP STAIRS TO WAIT THE LAST 25 MINUTES TO CLOCK OUT FOR THE DAY. I WAS DONE, BENT, MAD AND WAS NOT GOING TO DO ANY MORE  WORK. WELL JUST WHEN YOU THINK THAT IT CAN’T GET ANY WORST, IT DOES. I GOT IN MY CAR TO LEAVE AND WAS DRIVING OUT OF THE EMPLOYEE PARKING LOT, WHEN I MET UP WITH TWO SECURITY GUARDS MOTIONING ME TO STOP AND PULL OVER. NOW IN MY MIND I WAS THINKING SOMETHING WAS GOING ON AND IT WASN’T ABOUT ME. WRONG! THEN I NOTICED IT WAS MY FRIEND WHO I SIT WITH AT LUNCH ALMOST EVERYDAY. I ROLLED DOWN MY WINDOW AND SAID, WHAT’S UP? HE SAID, CAROL, CAROL, CAROL WITH A SAD LOOK ON HIS FACE. HE TOLD ME THAT THE CAMERAS GOT ME GOING THROUGH ALL THE STOP SIGNS WITHOUT STOPPING. I SAID, YES I DO THAT EVERYDAY JUST LIKE EVERYONE DOES. OOPS SORRY I SAID. HE TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE WATCHING ME FOR THREE DAYS IN A ROLL. THEY CALLED HIM AND SAID, HERE SHE COMES..GET HER! SO HE HAD TO WRITE ME UP. I DID PROMISE NOT TO EVER DO IT AGAIN. HE SAID, THEY HAVE A PICTURE OF ME AND AT THE TOP OF IT SAYS, “CAPTURED” IN BIG LETTERS. WELL I CRIED ALL THE WAY HOME. WHAT A DAY! THE MORAL OF THIS STORY IS: I WASN’T WORKING, I WAS WANTED AND I WAS CAPTURED ALL IN ONE DAY!

LEAF BLOWER?????

TO MY SURPRISE I NEVER THOUGHT A LEAF BLOWER COULD BE USED FOR MULTI PURPOSES.  MY BOYFRIEND AND I DECIDED TO WASH AND WAX MY CAR. IT WAS THE USUAL PROCESS THAT EVERYONE DOES IN WASHING A CAR. WHEN IT CAME TIME TO DRY THE CAR HERE HE  COMES, WITH EAR PROTECTORS ON AND WHIPS OUT THE LEAF BLOWER. I WAS AMAZED THAT HE TOLD ME THIS IS MUCH FASTER THAN DRYING IT WITH A TOWEL. I STARTED LAUGHING AS I WATCHED THIS GUY BLOWING AWAY THE WATER. TO MY AMAZEMENT, SURE ENOUGH THE CAR WAS DRY IN NO TIME AT ALL. WITH A SMILE ON MY FACE WE BEGAN TO WAX THE CAR…….. IT WAS A VERY GOOD DAY! LEARN SOMETHING NEW ALL THE TIME, NO MATTER WHAT AGE YOU ARE. THANKS STEVE FOR THE MULTI PURPOSE OF A LEAF BLOWER, YOU ARE AMAZING. MY LITTLE PONY IS BEAUTIFUL……………

WHISPERING TREES……

I AWOKE THIS MORNING TO THE SOUND OF TREES SWAYING . THIS IS SOMETHING TO PONDER ON. HAVE YOU EVER JUST SAT AND WATCHED THE TREES BLOW FROM THE WIND? ALL KINDS OF THINGS COME UP. THEY WHISPER WITH ALL DIFFERENT TYPES OF SONGS. THE BIRDS FLY IN AND OUT. IT’S REALLY SOOTHING LISTENING TO THE WAY THEY SWAY TO AND FRO. YOUR THOUGHTS JUST SEEM TO GO OFF INTO A DIFFERENT WORLD. WHEN YOU’RE INDOORS WORKING ALOT IT SEEMS WE DON’T GET THE CHANCE TO REALLY APPRECIATE THE BEAUTY OF NATURE THAT TAKES PLACE ON THE OUTSIDE. FALL IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE TIMES OF YEAR AND TODAY I COULD FEEL THE CHANGES TAKING PLACE. THE AIR HAD A CHILL TO IT. IT FELT GREAT AFTER ALL THE HEAT FROM SUMMER. THE CRISP SOUNDS OF THE LEAVES FALLING. THE BRIGHT COLORS OF FALL TAKING PLACE. SO I ENJOYED TAKING IT IN, RELAXING, LISTENING, AND ENJOYING THE FALL COMING ALIVE BEFORE MY EYES. GREAT FEELING!!! JUST A THOUGHT!
